Pisco sour

Drinks

Pisco Sour is a classic Peruvian cocktail known for its frothy texture and balanced sweet and sour flavours. It’s made with pisco, lime juice, gum syrup, egg white, and Angostura bitters. The egg white gives it a creamy, meringue-like foam on top, and the bitters add a subtle aromatic complexity. Pisco Sour is a beloved symbol of Peruvian culture and a must-try for any cocktail enthusiast.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ounces of pisco
  • 1 ounce of fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce of gum syrup (it can be replaced with simple syrup or 3/4 ounce of white sugar)
  • 1/4 ounce of egg white
  • Angostura bitters
  • 3 or 4 ice cubes

Preparation:

Put the pisco, lime juice, syrup, egg white and the ice cubes in a cocktail jar and mix thoroughly (you could use a blender if you don´t have a cocktail jar). Serve in a glass and add a few drops of Angostura bitters.
